A message from the Pokagon Race Founder and RD Randy Strebig

It comes with great pride to announce our alliance with America Multi-Sport, Inc. on the Pokagon Race, we have strived to bring you a well thought out race by Triathletes for Triathletes for the last 7 years, the feedback we have received has confirmed we have succeeded, so now comes a time to develop and grow upon this foundation and bring you yet a better event by bringing in the professionals at the business. I predict you will be even more fulfilled by your experience this year at Pokagon and yes I will be there diligently working alongside the America Multi-Sport, Inc. team to ensure the continuity and quality that you have come to expect from the Pokagon Race, who knows maybe I will even get to race alongside you in the future. Thanks for your continued interest in this event and please feel free to reach out to me personally should you have questions or concerns.

Sincerely, Randy Strebig

Course Info:

Swim:

Multi-Sport races have been modified to duathlons due to inclement weather!

Bike:

Upon exiting the water the race proceeds up the hill via a lot of stairs and to the secure transition area in the lawn in front of the pavillion. The 40k bike course follows out the main road of the park and under I-69 to ride on very lightly traveled country roads. It is mostly an out and back course with a large loop at the outer end. The terrain is best described as rolling hills. All of the major intersections are staffed with local and state law enforcement. You can view the maps below:

Sprint: 20k

Oly: 40k

Run:

Upon returning to the park the run course leaves the transition and traverses some of the most scenic trails in the park. This is a 5k or 10k run for the triathlon. This is definitely a challenging but fair run course. The finsh line is in front of the pavilion for friends and family to see your great accomplishment.

Sprint/5k Run/Walk: 5k….Oly 10k
