Triathlon 101 Class
Have you ever wanted to do a triathlon? Don’t know where to start?
Taking the Tri 101 class will provide beginners with the instruction and training that they need to complete their first triathlon!
You DO NOT need to be a student or Ball State affiliate to take this class.

Classes will be on Tuesdays from 6:30-8:30 at Ball Gym
Please note the workout/dress for each class and be prepared!
January 21, Tuesday –Introduction, evaluations, training logs, dress to swim
January 28, Tuesday –Swim (Video), Register for Indoor Tri, dress to swim
February 4, Tuesday — Nutrition, dress to run
February 11, Tuesday — Yoga, dress comfortably
February 18, Tuesday — Weight Training for Triathlon, dress to lift
February 25, Tuesday — Cycling, dress to bike (spin class)
March 4, Tuesday — Spring Break No Class
March 11, Tuesday — Good Form Running, dress to run
March 18, Tuesday — Duathlon, dress to bike/run
March 25, Tuesday — Transitions! Be ready to swim/bike/run!
April 1, Tuesday — Guest Speaker-lessons from your first year, dress to swim
April 8, Tuesday — Race week, gear & race day, dress outdoor run
April 19, Saturday, BSU Spring Sprint and Mini Indoor/Outdoor Triathlon Graduation! (not included in call fees)
Instruction will include: learn to swim freestyle, open water swimming, proper running and biking form, yoga, basic equipment needed for your first triathlon, transitions, clothing, nutrition, training plans, race day planning, volunteering, bike maintenance and proper bike fit.
The first class will be 2 hours and include orientation and a swim clinic. All classes will be part instruction and part training.
Included in the fee is classroom & training instruction and 1 training log.
